Lennox was founded in the year 1985 by the owner of a machine repair business in railroads named Dave Lennox. He designed and patented a riveted steel coal-fired furnace, which made numerous advancements in cooling, heating and the climate control solutions. Later, he sold the Lennox Parts to DW Norris, and after his demise, the company was passed on to his descendants. Lennox primarily focuses on three core businesses, namely, commercial heating and cooling, residential heating and cooling, as well as refrigeration.
