Repair Outcome
Installation wasnt too difficult overall while replacing the old component because the older unit needed replacement part. No leaks or issues noticed so far.

Replacement Observation
The original component had worn out over time on our appliance ended up being caused by a failing part. Connector alignment matched better than expected and the replacement solved it.
